I just felt like sharing in case someboy else have the same problems..
I don’t have Fibromyalgia. I found that out this morning (got the results of yet another blodtest it’s called HLA B27) that I’ve got
Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) or Bechterew it’s also called.
So now I’m reading all about it.. There aren’t any miracle cures, but a lot of people get better by avoiding starch…
Which I’ve been doing now for 3 weeks as I’m on the Whole30 program.. and the good things is…
I am better.. !
I’m not aching nearly as much. My shoulder is still really sore, but I feel better in general. So no more starch for me. 🙂 Potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, wheat, dextrose (in meats ham etc.. ) and cakes (oh no and I just got good at baking!!), .. Well there’s one thing I won’t miss beer… never liked it! I think chocolate is probably out too.. oh noooooo… think I’m allowed over 70%, but I don’t like it very much..
As this is genetic I’m going to make sure that my family are tested too.. and of course I’ve got to have Magnus tested too.. A bit scary.. 20 years is a long time to have lived with this pain and not known why, but at least I now know what it is and can avoid certain foods to get better. It’s not really such a big deal.
